SAN TAN VALLEY — Justin Licon, 45, of San Tan Valley was charged with seven counts of sexually assaulting children by a Pinal County grand jury on Wednesday.

According to court records, Licon sexually assaulted two children over several years dating back to 2013, when one of the children was just 9 years old. The sexual assault of the other child began in 2018, when that child was just 7 or 8, according to the grand jury indictment.

Licon is charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor under 15, three counts of molestation of a child under 15 and sexual abuse.

Five of the charges are Class 2 felonies, punishable by a presumptive sentence of five years per charge and a sentencing range of three to 12.5 years per charge if it is a first offense.

Licon was arraigned on the charges Friday morning in Pinal County Superior Court and he remains in the Pinal County Adult Detention Center pending the posting of a $150,000 secured bond.
