SAN TAN VALLEY — A San Tan Valley man is facing charges after allegedly pulling a gun on a family member.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Michael A. Rivera, 29, is charged with domestic violence aggravated assault, aggravated assault and domestic violence disorderly conduct.

Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 at a home in the 4100 block of Meadows Lane in San Tan Valley. Witnesses told deputies that Rivera allegedly got into an argument with family members, went back to his room and got a gun.

He allegedly pointed the gun at two people in the room, continued to argue with them and told them they needed to respect him. He allegedly left the home and waited by his vehicle for one specific person to come out of the house. He allegedly yelled at that person as they attempted to get into their vehicle.

The victim pulled his own gun out of his vehicle and held it by his leg, as Rivera allegedly got in his vehicle and drove away.

Rivera was later taken into custody by PCSO deputies.
