SAN TAN VALLEY — A San Tan Valley man who allegedly threatened a coworker with a gun is facing assault charges.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Christopher E. Etheridge, 37, is charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

At 1:37 p.m. on May 3, Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at a restaurant in the 1700 block of West Hunt Highway. A man there told deputies that he and Etheridge had allegedly gotten into an argument.

Etheridge was allegedly sent home because he was being “lazy” at work. When Etheridge reached his home, he allegedly grabbed a handgun and returned to the restaurant, where he allegedly placed the gun against his coworker’s head.

He left before deputies arrived.

Deputies contacted Etheridge at his home and took him into custody. He allegedly told deputies that he did not intend to harm his coworker but just scare the man.
