SAN TAN VALLEY — The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents to remove valuables from their cars, especially guns, and to lock their vehicles after parking them.

The office has noticed an increase in thefts from parked vehicles across the county and specifically in the San Tan Valley area. At least 12 guns were reported stolen from vehicles.

PCSO officials point out that most burglars will not break into a vehicle unless they see something valuable in it.
