APACHE JUNCTION — SWAT members were called out after a man barricaded himself inside a home in a domestic violence situation last week.

According to Apache Junction Police, Trevor H. Bryant, 41, was booked into the Pinal County jail on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of threatening and intimidating. He is currently being held on $50,000 secured bond.

Officers were called out around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 16 to a home in the 2000 block of South Cortez Road for a domestic violence situation. When officers arrived, a woman could be heard yelling from inside the home that she was being held against her will. Officers were able to negotiate her release. The woman was transported to Banner Goldfield Medical Center for a medical evaluation.

Bryant allegedly locked himself in a bathroom and refused to come out. After several hours of unsuccessful negotiations, the department’s SWAT team was sent into the home and took Bryant into custody without further incident or injuries.
