CASA GRANDE — A prayer service held in Peart Park on Sunday attracted nearly 100 people.
The seventh annual Thanksgiving service in the park was organized by the Area-wide Pastors Fellowship Group to bring together people of different faiths from throughout the community to give thanks and pray for the city.
Throughout the hour and a half service, several area pastors took to the podium to pray for different aspects of the city including government, business, churches, families, media and education.
Among the speakers were Bill Heinle, First Presbyterian Church; Pat Sieler, Calvary Chapel; Paul Elgin, First Presbyterian Church; Leo Holts, Calvary Chapel; Eric Kluth, Calvary Chapel; Ken Ross, principal of Logos Christian Academy; Phil Calvert, Trinity Southern Baptist Church and Juan Humes of Kingdom Living Ministries Church offering a closing prayer of thanks.
Jamianne Roy and Lahoma Cope of Home of Hope worship team provided worship music.
