CASA GRANDE — Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland will address faith leaders at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, at a Casa Grande Faith Alliance appreciation lunch.
The lunch event is a time for city leaders to thank area clergy and faith leaders who have contributed to the community and to discuss how the faith-based community can work together to resolve challenging community issues, a press release from the Casa Grande Faith Alliance said.
The meeting will be held at the Community Recreation Center, 1905 N. Peart Road. COVID-safe protocols will be in place and facial masks are required at arrival. Lunch will be provided by the United Way of Pinal County.
As well as praying for the community, attendees will learn about projects the Casa Grande Faith Alliance has been working on and learn more about how the group’s assistance on issues impact the city, the press release said.
The Faith Alliance of Casa Grande, formerly the Emergency Assistance Ministry, is a network of churches, nonprofit organizations and government volunteers united to care for the community’s most vulnerable residents. Its mission is to “engage the faith community to support unduplicated services to the less fortunate adults and children in Casa Grande,” according to its website.
Those wishing to attend should RSVP online at http://www.cgfaithalliance.org by May 11.
