FLORENCE – In keeping with the Gov. Doug Ducey’s most recent executive order, the Florence Aquatic Center was closed Monday until further notice, the town announced.
Before this, the town had already announced its Fourth of July “Freedom Fest” would be postponed. However, the town did plan to offer free admission to the pool Saturday, with limited attendance and sanitizing of the facility between sessions.
“We appreciate the community’s understanding and flexibility during this time and recognition that we are all in this together,” the town said Monday afternoon. The town Community Services Department continues to offer the following services:
• Library: Curbside services, Print-on-demand, Ask-a-librarian, and the summer reading program are all in full swing.
• Dorothy Nolan Senior Center: Home-delivered meals, prescription pickup, shopping assistance, and medical transportation for priority medical appointments can be coordinated through the Senior Center.
• Recreation: Recreation staff is offering “Take-and-Make” kits as well as virtual programming.
Town offices will be closed Friday in observance of Independence Day.
