► A group of police officers in Colorado are being investigated for arresting a woman with dementia, and then laughing and mocking her as they watched a video of the incident.

73-year-old Karen Garner was forcibly detained after she walked out of Walmart without paying for around £9 of goods.

Body-cam footage shows the officers breaking her elbow and dislocating her shoulder, before later laughing about it while watching the footage in a police station.

"Ready for the pop? Hear the pop?" one of the officers says at one point, referring to Ms Garner's shoulder.

“I love it” one of the officers says while watching the struggling dementia sufferer.

The report from Alan Jenkins raises concerns not just about police brutality, but also about a lack of empathy in the force too.

The video contains footage of the arrest which you might find distressing.
