The Police Report is compiled from Florence Police Department reports. The only names published are those of adults who were cited, arrested or involved in a traffic accident. Suspects named in this column are innocent until proven guilty. Anyone whose arrest appears in this column who is later found not guilty or whose charges are dismissed is welcome to inform the Florence Reminder and it will be reported.

Tuesday, Feb. 2

A solar-powered sign was reported stolen near the corner of Florence-Kelvin Highway and State Route 79.

Thursday, Feb. 4

Police responded to an accident on South Matilda Street. Tracy Britton was cited for failing to control speed to avoid a collision.

Friday, Feb. 5

A private property hit-and-run accident was reported on North Hunt Highway. A woman reported when she left the store she noticed her car had been struck.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic violence call on South Park Street. Frank Vincent Jr., 39, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of disorderly conduct, discharging a firearm, misconduct with a weapon, criminal damage, DUI slightest degree and aggravated assault.

Saturday, Feb. 6

Domestic violence was reported on West Sonoma Way. Rebecca Rice, 37, was cited on charges of disorderly conduct-domestic violence and criminal damage-domestic violence. Parties were separated for the night.

Sunday, Feb. 7

An assault between inmates was reported on North Bowling Road.

An officer was dispatched to a welfare check on North Pinal Parkway. Upon arrival the vehicle left the scene. The vehicle was showing as stolen out of another jurisdiction. An attempt to stop the vehicle was unsuccessful. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and Arizona Department of Public Safety were notified. The vehicle was stopped on U.S. 60. The driver was turned over to Florence police. Robert Jones, 23, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of reckless driving, unlawful flight from law enforcement, possession of stolen property and endangerment.

Alaina N. Antone, 27, was cited for no mandatory insurance and was booked into jail on a warrant.
