The Police Report is compiled from Florence Police Department reports. The only names published are those of adults who were cited, arrested or involved in a traffic accident. Suspects named in this column are innocent until proven guilty. Anyone whose arrest appears in this column who is later found not guilty or whose charges are dismissed is welcome to inform the Florence Reminder and it will be reported.

Monday, April 12

An officer was dispatched to a report of trespassing. Ray Johnson, 26, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of criminal damage, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false name while detained and a warrant.

Cash Madewell, 25, was arrested and booked into jail on two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant.

A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle on West 13th Street.

Tuesday, April 13

Approximately 80 sheets of plywood were reported stolen from a construction site near North Constitution Way and Merrill Ranch Parkway.

Officers were dispatched to a report of possible drug violations on West Ruggles Street, and made contact with a female leaving the restroom. Daisha Sutton, 28, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, attempted escape, destruction of physical evidence and a warrant.

A male reportedly stole a drink from a store on North Pinal Parkway. Francisco Inzunza, 27, was later cited and released for a charge of shoplifting.

Thursday, April 15

An officer was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with multiple injuries on North Quartz Street. The vehicle was occupied by four people. Two of the four were treated for injuries and transported to area hospitals. The driver was suspected of being under the influence. A search warrant was obtained for blood samples. The case is active pending further investigation.

Friday, April 16

A two-car accident was reported at South Main Street and State Route 287. Both drivers and one passenger were medically evaluated by Florence Fire. Aiden McGinnis was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign.

Shoplifting was reported on North Pinal Parkway. A suspect was located with the items. Calvin Hollins, 48, was booked into jail on charges of shoplifting and obstruction/refusing to give true name.

Saturday, April 17

An officer was dispatched to a vehicle and bicycle accident at Felix and Arizona Farms roads. The driver stated she thought she was over far enough to pass the bicycle, but the passenger mirror struck him, causing him to wreck his bike. The rider was treated for minor injuries by Florence Fire and refused further medical. Insurance exchange information was given to both parties. The male was given a ride to his destination by a Florence Fire battalion chief. No citation was issued.
