Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:
I’ve lived in CG since 1980. One thing that I know about Casa Grande is that we’re a community of loving, caring people who want our families to be safe. I’m happy to share that there is a new Casa Grande chapter of an organization that can help us protect our community from gun violence: Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
Moms Demand Action isn’t just for moms. It’s for anyone and everyone who wants to end gun violence with commonsense policies. Moms Demand Action volunteers are committed to responsible, commonsense gun legislation that helps keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people — background checks for every commercial gun sale and red flag laws. Volunteers are also committed to educating their friends and neighbors about responsible gun storage and reminding parents to ask their children’s friends if they have guns and if their guns are locked before their children spend time in their homes.
The Casa Grande chapter meets on the first Monday of the month from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. at the Casa Grande Main Library. The next meeting is Nov. 4.
We all want a better, safer life for our children and grandchildren. Moms Demand Action Casa Grande can help.
