Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:

The climate Chicken Littles are at it again. According to their recent blab, we are doomed in 10 years. The article says "Code Red"; woah, that's heavy. These scientists, all 234 of them, issued a 3,000-plus page report. I guess volume is needed to impress us. I just wonder if these 234 "scientists" are the same ones who were caught about 10-plus years ago manufacturing results for their proclamation by colluding with each other from around the world so that their final statement was the same, no matter where you lived. You see, these "scientists" are people hired by governments and others, with the specific purpose in mind, to uncover "global warming." If they don't produce the expected results, they're out of a job! They are being paid to produce a report based on a conclusion.

Now, I have degrees in engineering and have taken several science classes over the years. The correct "scientific method," as I was taught, was to start with a question and then see where the research led you. This type of science starts with a conclusion and the "scientist" fills in the blanks to prove it. It's a game of using only the statistics that support your conclusion, extrapolating dubious possibilities, then creating a projection that is extremely questionable and announcing it as fact. Hence your doom and gloom scenario.

The truth is, we are having a change in weather. We've had many before this and we will continue to have them. To think you can control "weather" is so foolish, it defies common sense. Fires, hurricanes, droughts all have been going on for eons. It's supposed to be 95 today. When was the last time 95 was common in Casa Grande in August? That says it all.
