Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:
It seems, from recent news reports, that there is a new fad. Groups of young men, sometimes brandishing guns and spouting anti-government rhetoric, have entered the public discourse. Supposedly, they are right-wingers chasing after those who are not. Some use the term "boogaloo" to describe themselves.
Problem here is that many of them wear Hawaiian shirts as a "badge." Who else wears Hawaiian shirts? Old men. Like me. It took us years to finally be able to proudly wear our age. And most of us do not belong to militia movements that have hijacked patriotism. I do not want young guns hijacking my new look for political purposes.
