Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:

Pinal County is proud to be home of multiple electric vehicle plants. This has proven to be a strong economic engine not just in the areas where they are located, but for Arizona as a whole.

Unfortunately, Congress is not considering a tax credit for all EV vehicles, but only if they are built in a U.S. union plant — loosely translated as only those built in Michigan and Ohio. This will cost us jobs here in Arizona — especially at companies like Lucid and Nikola.

I hope our Arizona delegation in Washington will see how bad of a policy this is and make sure the union requirement is dropped. It benefits only a few EVs on the market and penalizes Arizona autoworkers.
