Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:

The AP story reprinted by the Dispatch is an example of more biased news from what used to be a respected organization. (The WSJ had an entirely opposite viewpoint.) By promoting the Democrats’ failed attempt to show a crime, they insinuate that there was some collusion yet if that was so, why wasn’t it stated in the report? The fact is that after two years and $25 million, Mueller couldn’t find any connection, try as he did. As in any court proceeding, if the evidence isn’t there, the person is not guilty. Listening to Nadler ask questions much like, “Are you still beating your wife?” was shown to be a desperate move to maintain some kind of suspicion yet try as they might, there still is no evidence! His questions were outside the focus of the investigation, which was Russian collusion by the Trump Organization, and designed specifically to confuse the masses.

Mueller on the other hand, was quick to answer Democrats yet hesitated, muddled over the report and generally wasted the Republicans’ time. Contrary to the AP report statement, Mueller is in fact “politically motivated.” Personally, listening to Mueller answer questions, or not answering them, as he paged through the report looking for the answer, he appeared to be someone who was a bystander in the writing of the report rather than the author. The circus will go on because the Democrats, still smarting over the lost election, want a victory of sorts while matters of importance like immigration, homelessness, poverty, trade negotiations, the budget and other issues that would actually do something for us taxpayers are sidelined. The question every one of us should be asking is, did we vote for these people to be the stewards of our welfare or to waste our money fighting over an election that was settled two years ago? Reminds me of a sandbox in preschool.
