Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:

J. Warren Funeral Services wishes to thank the 350 people who attended the annual Memorial Day event as well as the staff at Mountain View Cemetery who worked hard to make sure everything was ready. They also wish to thank the Honorable John Ellsworth for stepping into the role of master of ceremonies; Mayor Craig McFarland, guest speaker; Brad Kepler and Jim Sorensen, who loaned their voices; Kim Vandenberg, who led the honoring of heroes; and Col. Wanda Wright, Arizona Department of Veterans' Affairs director, who presented the Gold Star Family Medals. A special thank you to Merrilyn Ridgeway and Myk Snider, who accepted the presentation honoring David Snider’s 16 years as this event’s master of ceremonies.

Thank you to all those who participated in this event including the military and service organizations (American Legion, VFW, their Auxiliaries, DAV and its Auxiliary, U.S. Navy Submarine Veterans, Elks), service motorcycle groups (Picacho Peak VFW Riders, Combat Veterans), Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Casa Grande Union High School and Vista Grande High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC and support organizations (Arizona Antique Airplane Association, DAR, HOHP).

Casa Grande Valley Newspapers produced and printed the programs and Blossom Digital Marketing produced the livestream for the J. Warren Funeral Services Facebook page, which can still be viewed in its entirety.

It was truly a meaningful and heartwarming event. J. Warren Funeral Services was once again proud and privileged to host this significant event to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
