Editor:

My name is Hunter L. Rankin and I was born and raised in Florence. I have served in Law Enforcement for 24 years within Pinal County Communities and currently hold a command rank. I am writing to you today to express my support for a Florence Town Council candidate. I have known Arthur “Snake” Neal essentially my entire life. We were classmates, teammates and friends while growing up in Florence. Mr. Neal was raised by two amazing parents who instilled morals, values, integrity, faith in the lord, and kindness along with compassion in their son.

Mr. Neal’s upbringing led him to a life of public service in his adult years. Mr. Neal gained employment with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in 1997. Mr. Neal spent 20 successful years there, serving as a detention officer. Mr. Neal’s dedication to his profession allowed him to protect the residents of greater Pinal County while making a difference in many people’s lives.

Once Mr. Neal retired, he again found a way to give back to his community. This time he went to work in the school system full-time, where he had already spent many years as a coach. Mr. Neal is determined to reach kids at the crucial stages of early development when they are the most vulnerable. He has served as a mentor to many children, fostering relationships with them to guide them towards the right path in life.

Mr. Neal is now pursuing his next step in his life of public service. He is seeking election to the Florence Town Council. Mr. Neal is a lifelong Florence resident whose dedication to service is evidenced by his former and ongoing contributions to society. Mr. Neal would make an outstanding Florence Town Council member. He will lead with a faithful heart that is dedicated to protecting, serving and making a better future for everyone.

Sincerely,

Hunter L. Rankin
