Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:

I am concerned for the safety of the citizens who use and live on West Val Vista Boulevard because the road has damage that has yet to be fixed. There are many people who live off Val Vista, and as a student, my bus route follows the road. I believe it should be at least repaired and at most repaved. There are also two large communities off Val Vista: Avalon and Copper Vista.

The road has many holes and uneven places on it. Roads off Val Vista also need help and should have some attention too. The road also has little law enforcement presence. People speed and break other traffic laws on it. This road needs attention and should be repaired where it can be. This is also used more because it connects Casa Grande and Maricopa, joining a main road of Casa Grande and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. Many people use the road including school buses going to the area of Saddleback Farms.

There will be a petition to sign in the future seeking to repair or, hopefully, repave West Val Vista Boulevard. As citizens we need to take this to Mayor McFarland and the City Council. The petition will be at Fry's Marketplace on North Pinal Avenue.
