Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:

Today my wife and I received our registration renewal license fee on two of our vehicles, a 2016 Chevy pickup and our small 12-foot utility travel trailer. Included was the new $32 license tag fee or tax that should have been put to a vote by the people for the people. This increase was introduced by Arizona Gov. Ducey and was a sneaky way to make it legal but instead it seems unethical.

The tax method would have been placed on a ballot for us the people to vote yes or no, but instead Gov. Ducey was determined to pass this and worded the new law as a fee.

The tax method was excluded so the taxpayer could not be allowed to vote yes or no. This fee is outrageous, shockingly bad and excessive!

Go to Goole and look up the comments on taxation without representation. I suggest you write the Governor's Office if you are offended by this new $32 fee increase. A one-penny increase or even two pennies would help with his so-called highway patrol and teacher salary aid, but first let the people vote on this new fee increase.
