Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:
As a longtime resident of Casa Grande and someone who has raised and educated children in our local public schools, I am writing to endorse Nancy Caywood, who is willing and wanting to step up and serve our children, our community and the Casa Grande Elementary School District. Nancy Caywood has been a member of our community for many years and has been actively involved in various local and CGESD committees over the years.
Starting her work to claim a place on this year's ballot, Nancy found the COVID-19 lockdowns halted her efforts to collect enough signatures. With persistence and determination, Nancy completed the paperwork necessary and would like to seek your write-in vote on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.
I can't say enough good things about Nancy, as she is passionate about our children, their education and the future of the greater Casa Grande community. After talking with Nancy, I became aware of the fact that she has been attending the meetings of the CGESD Governing Board for most of this year and had been in touch with the district's administration and staff in order to be conversant with the many issues that the district is dealing with this year. She is up to speed and will be ready to serve us after the election.
Finally, I recognize that writing in a candidate's name on the general election ballot is not a usual thing. It takes a little extra effort; however, in this case — doing so will make sure that we, the parents and residents of CGESD's community, will be the ones to choose our Governing Board members instead of the Pinal County school superintendent.
Please vote for Nancy Caywood for CGESD Governing Board. Our children and our schools will be well served with her on the board.
