Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:
During the corona experiences we all feel the impact and often read of the sacrifices and sadness of human tragedy. My wife and I are practicing all the safety protocol, as requested, for ourselves and those around us. We had purchased some items at Lowe’s and during our removing masks, cleaning hands, etc., in the parking lot, I inadvertently dropped my billfold. I arrived home and had not realized my error until I received a phone call from Assistant Manager Ricky of the store. We drove to the location immediately to retrieve the billfold. We found out that Lidia, a Lowe’s associate, found the billfold and delivered it to safety. Upon opening my treasure, I discovered my driver’s license, credit cards, health cards and over $300 of cash intact. At a time like this, financial burdens can be real, and it would have been extremely easy to lift some of the cash from this find. Such did not happen.
I was grateful and awestruck, and I realized there are honest and trustworthy people in our great town of Casa Grande and our Lowe’s store! If each of us would just practice simple gestures of “paying it forward,” what a wonderful world we could create. Thank you to Lowe’s associates!
