Editor, Casa Grande Dispatch:

America is experiencing turbulent times. First the coronavirus, which is still with us. And now the unrest with racial discrimination. It is just like more fuel is being added to slow-smoldering fires. Our sins of the past are coming to roost. It is so sad. What can we do but pray and listen to God and obey? It is hard to listen to the news.

The day I saw George Floyd's first video I broke down crying. I felt there was no humanity in the act. How could a human being created by God do this to another human being? And I thought of the first murder recorded in the Bible, Cain killing Abel. What creates this type of act? God created all humans in his image. But what makes a heart so hard and cold? To crush a life out like putting out the fire of a cigarette, crushing it on the ground, grinding with no remorse.

I feel confident that if all of us in America turn to God our Father, Jesus our Lord and the Holy Spirit, our "Trinity God," and humbly pray, we will live as a peaceful, loving nation caring for each other and helping our neighbors with love, and our God will bless our nation in abundance. There will be more than enough for poor and rich, for young and old, for women, children and men. In Jesus Christ we are all equal and we will be blessed in abundance.
