COOLIDGE — Terry Lynn Hoover, 64, died peacefully at home on Dec. 6, 2020, with his family by his side.
Mr. Hoover was born in Casa Grande on Feb. 28, 1956, to Jess and Bennie Hoover. He was raised in Coolidge and was very well known and respected. He took great pride in his 35 years of service to the city of Coolidge. He worked for the Public Works Department's streets crew and became the streets manager, holding that job until his death. He accomplished many long-lasting projects and was highly regarded by his peers.
He had many hobbies, including spending time with friends and family, camping, fishing and watching NASCAR racing as well as racing himself. He won a track championship in 1996 at Central Arizona Raceway in the Street Stock division. He cherished all his memories with family and friends from times in the pines to great desert trips and relaxing by the ocean. He had a tremendous sense of humor and made everyone around him laugh. He was dedicated to the people he loved.
Survivors include his wife, Dana, whom he married in 1989; four adult children, Jeremy, Tiffany, Terry Ray and Toby; a brother and sister; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a sister.
