ELOY — Ruby Georgina Barron, 66, of Eloy died peacefully on July 15, 2021.
Ms. Barron was born on Aug. 11, 1954, in Eloy to Rita and Steve "Clos" Mendoza. She was a joyful woman of God whose warm smile and caring personality made everyone who came into contact with her an instant friend. She loved to share the word of God with others and was quick to pray for those in need. She absolutely loved to sing, and often her beautiful voice was heard in church, at home or singing karaoke in her car.
Her hobbies included spending time at the library immersed in books, cooking, going to yard sales with her sisters, going for drives and enjoying her favorite television show, “Matlock.” She loved her family more than life itself and found spending time with her grandsons was what she loved the most. She dedicated her life to the Lord many years ago, and it was a shining example of the Bible verse “And be kind and compassionate with one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Ephesians 4:32.
She is survived by three sons, Lorenzo Barron Jr. of Eloy, Enrique Barron of Eloy and Marcos Barron of Phoenix; a daughter, Valerie Ruiz of Arizona City; her mother; three brothers, Steve Mendoza Jr., George Mendoza and Chris Mendoza; five sisters, Jessie Salazar, Rosa Mendoza, Sylvia Flores, Diana Talamantes and Stephanie Perea; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 23, with funeral at 10, at Heritage Casa Grande Funeral Home. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park at 1.
