CASA GRANDE — Ronald Rueben Mueller, 82, died on Jan. 1, 2021.
Mr. Mueller was born on Sept. 30, 1938, in Prior Lake, Minnesota, and was a son of William F. and Marie I. (Ludtke) Mueller. He served in the Army from 1963 through 1964. He worked for Holiday Worldwide in accounting and warehousing, New Brighton Municipal Liquor Store as a bartender, Hauenstein & Burmeister installing electronic teaching equipment and Baker Manufacturing as a truck driver hauling well casings and warehousing. He built a home in East Bethel, Minnesota, and established an auto body shop in 1988, where he restored and painted repairable cars.
From 2000 until 2016 he was a snowbird traveling between Longville, Minnesota, and Casa Grande. He performed all activities and repairs necessary to keep Deer Trail Resort in Longville running including cleaning cabins, fixing docks, mowing 15 acres and maintaining the campground. At the same time he began a second career in 2001 in Casa Grande repairing golf carts. He became a permanent Arizona resident in 2016. His favorite pastime activities were fishing, golf, target shooting and pickleball.
He was married to Wendy Lynn (Sandstrom) Ziehl on July 18, 1981, in Golden Valley, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jeff S. and Ronald W. Mueller; a stepson, Jeffrey R. Ziehl; and two grandchildren.
