CASA GRANDE — Riann LilyAna Montijo, 12, died peacefully on June 4, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Riann, called Lily by family and friends, was born on Jan. 23, 2009, to Areal Alderete and Ernest Montijo. She was a spunky girl who loved everyone. She enjoyed learning how to cook and spending time with her family. She loved the outdoors and was a daredevil.
She was a gamer who also loved putting together huge Lego sets. Her family considered her their "Little Sour Patch" because she was both sweet and sassy. She touched many people with her loving personality and kind heart. She was an inspiration to many and always looked for the good in people.
Survivors include her parents; four siblings, Taylor Brown of Gilbert, Dylan Maldonado, Rylei and Micah Montijo, all of Casa Grande; her great-grandmother, Louise Johnson of Casa Grande; and grandparents, Priscilla and John Alderete of Eloy, Ernest Montijo and Colleen Wilhite of Casa Grande. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Joe and Nellie Leos, Janie and Frank Alderete, Reynaldo and Alicia Montijo and Larry Johnson.
Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, at Passion Church. Service at 10. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park.
