CASA GRANDE — Raymond Singh "Kiki" Kakar Sr., 81, of Casa Grande died on March 2, 2023, at home.
Mr. Kakar was born on May 9, 1941, in Casa Grande to Mike S. Kakar Sr. and Enacia Dagon Kakar. He grew up in Casa Grande, served in the Arizona National Guard for six years and worked for Pinal County in his younger years driving trucks. In his off days he enjoyed hauling hay and other farm commodities. He started his own trucking business, Ray Kakar Trucking.
Although he was a hardworking man, he always had time for his family and his dogs. He enjoyed music, singing and playing guitar and harmonica during family gatherings. He also loved watching TV, especially westerns.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irene R.; a son, Ramon “Kito” Kakar of Casa Grande; two daughters, Irene and Becky Kakar of Casa Grande; a sister, Carmelita Kakar of San Jose, California; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Mike Kakar, Joe Kakar, Johnny Kakar, Carlos Kakar, Abraham Kakar and Liberty Kakar and sisters Maggie Trinklein and Minnie Kakar Gutierrez.
Visitation service from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, at Heritage Casa Grande Funeral Home. Rosary recited at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 24, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with funeral Mass following. Burial in Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler.
