COOLIDGE — Olivia Gonzalez, 73, of Coolidge died on Nov. 6, 2019, in Gilbert.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born on May 12, 1946, in San Ygnacio, Texas, to Olegario and Udelia Villarreal. She spent 20-plus years as a military wife and traveled to many places with her husband. She was a licensed practical nurse for over 30 years and worked for Pinal General Hospital, Arizona Department of Corrections and CoreCivic.
She was a quiet woman and fiercely loyal and protective of her family. She often said that her great-granddaughters kept her active and on the move. She enjoyed crafting hobbies and visiting with her family and close friends.
Survivors include two adult children, Noemi Rodriguez and Noe Gonzalez of Coolidge; four siblings, Lorenzo Villarreal of Hemet, California, Udelia Martinez, Marcy Villarreal and James Villarreal, all of Greeley, Colorado; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Juan, in 2007 and a brother, Leandro Villarreal.
Funeral at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at Heritage Coolidge Funeral Chapel. Interment at noon in Heritage Valley Memorial Park.
