CASA GRANDE — Bennetta Noreen (Barker) McBryde, 86, died on Aug. 19, 2019, in Seattle.
Mrs. McBryde was born on Jan. 23, 1933, in Paducah, Texas, and was a daughter of Elmer and Opal Barker. She was a longtime resident of Casa Grande and Lake Montezuma and a 1951 graduate of Casa Grande Union High School.
When not spending time with her family, she enjoyed being an expert seamstress and crafter and an avid gardener. She loved to surround herself with anything to do with sewing and crafting. She enjoyed her beloved cat, Tigger.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Barker, and her husband, Judge Estes D. "Bud" McBryde. Nothing meant more to her than her family. She was a loving and dedicated mother to Matthew K. McBryde of Snoqualmie, Washington, Michael A. McBryde of Waddell, Erin K. Grisham of Flagstaff and Bridget N. McBryde of Olympia, Washington; a stepdaughter, Gail K. Oxford of Phoenix; a sister, Betty L. McCarty; eight grandchildren, her “grandbabies”; a great-granddaughter; and a stepgrandson.
Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande, with rosary recited at 9:30 and funeral Mass celebrated at 10. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson at 1 p.m.
