INDIANAPOLIS — Mary Ann "Molly" (O'Riley) Lassuy, 98, of Indianapolis died on May 24, 2021, at St. Augustine’s Home for the Aged.
Mrs. Lassuy was born on July 10, 1922, in Watseka, Illinois, to Dennis K. and Irma E. (Roark) O’Riley. She married Albert George “Art” Lassuy in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Danville, Illinois, on Nov. 18, 1944. She treasured her Irish heritage, and her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Odell, Illinois, and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande while living there. Most recently, she was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg, Indiana.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy J. Lassuy, and three siblings, Colleen “Pat” Beever, Father James “Jim” O’Riley and Daniel F. O’Riley. Survivors include seven daughters and sons, Mary Pat McCarter, Margaret “Peggy” Snead, Suzanne Whalen, Dennis Lassuy, Teresa Caldara, Elizabeth Lassuy and Joseph Lassuy; a brother, Father Dennis O’Riley; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg. Inurnment later in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Phoenix.
