CASA GRANDE — Margaret Mae Anderson, 95, died on Aug. 1, 2019.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Phoenix to C.B. and Lottie Mae Maxwell on Oct. 25, 1923. She graduated from Baylor University in 1945 with a bachelor's degree in education and speech. In 1956 she married David Underhill, who had a son. Her husband died in 1959. In 1964 she married Bob A. Anderson and became a mom to three more children.
She was very active in the Southern Baptist Convention during her years living in Phoenix. She loved being a kindergarten teacher spanning 30 years. Her career started in the Murphy Elementary School District in Phoenix. She then taught at Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Casa Grande. She finished her career at Stanfield School in 1986. She loved spending time with her husband, family, friends and church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; two sons, Stewart Anderson and Mark Underhill; and a great-grandson, Cody Anderson. She is survived by a son and daughter, Rob Anderson and Jan Sredanovich; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service at 9 a.m. on Aug. 10 at Double Butte Cemetery, 2505 W. Broadway Road in Tempe.
