CASA GRANDE — Margaret "Maggie" Syme Mitchell, 87, died on Sept. 14, 2021, at her home in Casa Grande with her husband Jack, daughter Karen and friend Deb by her side.

Mrs. Mitchell was born in Moroni, Utah, on Dec. 14, 1933. She was devoted to her family and a friend to all who knew her.

She had skilled hands as a seamstress, talented hands in painting ceramics and loving hands to be a wonderful
 homemaker.

She enjoyed a great and wonderful life. She had a love for sports, especially of the Arizona Cardinals, family camping and boating at Lake Powell. She was also an avid card player, not missing Monday night card bingo for over 17 years. She was also "coffee hostess" for the Wednesday night "jam session" for over 14 years. She traveled the world, visiting four continents and over a dozen countries. And she and Jack square-danced their way across the United States.

She is survived by her husband of almost 69 years; three daughters and a son,
Margaret Elizabeth Rees, Suzanne Ren, Karen M. Child and Michael J. Mitchell; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Check with family and friends for details about the celebration of life.

Donations may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
