COOLIDGE — Lonnie Richard Hutchins, 78, of Coolidge died on Oct. 27, 2021, in Phoenix.

Mr. Hutchins was born on Nov. 23, 1942, in Oklahoma City and was a son of Bruce and Grace Hutchins. He served for 20 years in military police, including in Vietnam, and later was an Oklahoma state trooper. He enjoyed talking about his career.

He loved talking to his family and friends. His favorite shows were police crime dramas, westerns and the news.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda D.; two sons and a daughter, Lonnie Bruce Hutchins, Robert A. Hutchins and Lorie Hernandez; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Castillo; a son, Timothy Hutchins; a half brother, James Hutchins; and his twin brother, Larry C. Hutchins.

Service at 10 a.m. on Jan. 7, 2022, in Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana, with Bishop Isaac Johnson officiating.
