COOLIDGE — John Pogue, 86, died on Oct. 2, 2019.
Mr. Pogue was born on May 7, 1933, to Madison and Mae Pogue in Idabel, Oklahoma. He served in the Air Force as a pilot during the Korean War and later at the Army National Guard Armory in Coolidge. He retired after 22 years as a Pinal County sheriff’s deputy and then operated his own process service business for 25 years.
He was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Coolidge and loved hunting, fishing and watching football.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Edith; five daughters, Martha A. Trout, Brenda Pogue, Johnna Thompson, Laurie Pogue and Emily Pogue; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Reeves, and a grandson, Jacob Ballard.
Funeral at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, at First Baptist Church in Coolidge.
