CASA GRANDE — John Allen Moeglin, 55, of Casa Grande died on April 13, 2021, at home.
Mr. Moeglin was born on Aug. 18, 1965. Most people only have a handful of cars throughout their lifetime, but he was not one of those people. He easily owned over 100 vehicles throughout his life and when talking to him, you would quickly realize his love for cars. When his son was young, they would go from store to store looking at different Hot Wheels to find the one he loved the most, the Plymouth Road Runner. He did not want to go a day without talking to his son, even when he lived thousands of miles away.
The weekends were always a special time for him because he was able to watch NASCAR races on TV. He often would fall asleep a few minutes into the race and wake up as the winner crossed the finish line or after the race ended. He always loved to watch Tony Stewart race. Once his son started to have children, he wanted to talk to them all the time and that would always put a smile on his face. His son and daughter-in-law often got him through his struggling times with Bible verses and prayer over their phone calls and he was very thankful for that.
Survivors include his father, Chuck Hess; a son, Brandon Moeglin; three brothers, Joe Moeglin, Tim Hess and Jeff Moeglin; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Dolores and James.
Memorial service at 2 p.m. on May 2 at CrossPoint Church in Crown Point, Indiana.
