CASA GRANDE — James F. "Jim" Williams, 71, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 12, 2021, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Mr. Williams was born on Aug. 24, 1949, in Columbus, Indiana, and was a son of Robert E. and Frances E. (Wood) Williams. He married Julie Dill on April 3, 1970, in Kansas. He graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana, studying architecture. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and later an investigator for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. He retired from Civil Service in 1995.
He owned of JJ’s Adobe Auto in Casa Grande until he retired in 2016. He enjoyed restoring old cars, playing euchre and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Zenda Brooks of North Vernon, Indiana, and Lena Williams of Seymour, Indiana; two sisters, Deborah Hemphill and Lora Mae Williams of Arizona City; two brothers, Robert Williams of Brownstown, Indiana, and Roy Williams of Commiskey, Indiana; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Lee Williams.
No formal funeral service is planned.
