CASA GRANDE — Jessie Hillis, 89, of Casa Grande died on July 3, 2019.
Mrs. Hillis was born on Feb. 10, 1930, in Crockett, Texas, and was a daughter of Gary Jolley and Eunice Colter. She was known as a wonderful, loving, warm and cheerful person and always full of energy.
She would always lend a helping hand to whomever needed it. She was fair, firm and consistent and known for her integrity. She loved her family dearly.
Survivors include seven sons and daughters, Leroy Jones of Casa Grande, Arthur Williams of Casa Grande, Howard Williams of Phoenix, Dorothy Williams of Casa Grande, Lollie Smalls of Texas, Anthony Hillis and Ray Hillis; six siblings, Ernell Colter, Thomas Colter, Raymond Colter, Levi Colter, Roman Colter and Faye Jolley; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roosevelt Hillis; a daughter, Audrey Lee Jackson; two brothers, Carl Blackshire and VL Colter; and a sister, Corine Colter.
Visitation beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 12, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Service at 3.
