CASA GRANDE — Jack J. Brashier, 82, of Casa Grande, a retired banker, died peacefully on June 24, 2019, at Family Tree Assisted Living under the care of Hospice Compassus.
Mr. Brashier was born on May 10, 1937, in Raiford, Oklahoma, to Neil and Leota Brashier. The family moved to Arizona, where he went to school. He married his high school sweetheart, Georgia L. Durham of Chandler. He served four years in the Marine Corps until August 1962, including at Camp Pendleton, California.
A career banker, he moved his family to Casa Grande in 1977, where he continued banking and taught classes. He was active in the community with O'Odham Tash, Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge and Sonoran Search and Rescue for many years. He loved to hunt, take care of his garden and spend time with family and friends.
He is survived by four siblings, Bobby Brashier of Mesa, Marjorie Davis of Fontana, California, Al Brashier Casa Grande and Gary Brashier of Elk Grove, California; three sons, Dwight Brashier of Phoenix, Michael and Robert Brashier of Casa Grande; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Vita Faye Brashier and Colleen Brashier.
