CASA GRANDE — Frances Peters, 83, died on Oct. 9, 2019.
Ms. Peters was born on June 27, 1936, to Harold K. Adams and Ruby A. Williams in Oran, Iowa. She was a member of the Vaquero Foundation and loved Las Vegas. She was a great baker and enjoyed baking wedding cakes.
She worked at Central Arizona College beginning in 1981. She began as an accounting clerk in the payroll department and worked full-time processing payroll until she retired on Dec. 31, 1998. Soon after, on Feb. 1, 1999, she returned to work part-time in different capacities including payroll and accounts payable and receivable. She even enjoyed working in the mailroom in her spare time.
She is survived by a sister, Jean Waschkat of Cedar Falls, Iowa; four nieces; one grandnephew; and two grandnieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Adams.
Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande, with the Rev. Philip Kittle officiating at a chapel service at 6 p.m. Inurnment later at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa.
