CASA GRANDE — Eloisa Hernandez, 77, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 24, 2021.

Ms. Hernandez was born in Bigfoot, Texas, on Feb. 22, 1944, to Pete Bermea and Aberta Ortiz. Sometimes called “Lucy,” she moved to Casa Grande in the 1960s. She worked as a bus aide for the Casa Grande Elementary School District and loved her job and the children.

Her passions were cooking, music and her family. Devoted to her family, she had a hard life but was very kind and selfless. 

Survivors include two sons, Erik and Darren Hernandez; nine siblings, Minerva Alvarez, Maria Duncan, Francis Johnson, Pete Jr., Juana, Jose, Jessie, Benny and Frank Bermea; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Hernandez.
