CASA GRANDE — Dorothy Igess, 70, of Casa Grande died peacefully on Dec. 25, 2019, with her loving family by her side.
Ms. Igess was born on Aug. 28, 1949, to Lawrence and Mary Burger in Beckley, West Virginia. She was a devout Baptist and attended her local church regularly. She worked as a bank teller for over 15 years until she retired. She took pride in many things such as gardening and sewing, but her life’s greatest achievement was being a mother. She was a “super mom,” making sure her son was her first priority in life, and she did it with grace and compassion while raising her son alone.
She was an inspiration to all who knew her and had a smile that could light up a room. Although she was a quiet person, she was a person of faith and lived life serving others.
She is survived by her son, Ralph Hayze Burger.
Heritage Casa Grande Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
