COOLIDGE — David Roy Hilgeman, 59, died at home on Sept. 12, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Hilgeman was born on June 1, 1960. His family moved to Arizona from Ohio in 1969 and he graduated from Coolidge High School in 1979. He was known for his work effort and worked for Arizona Water Company before retiring.
Before multiple sclerosis limited his activities, he loved skiing and water skiing, scuba dive, deep sea fishin and hunt. He also enjoyed time spent on the Pinal County Sherrif's COffice search and rescue underwater team. He was a member of Sons of The American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He loved his mastiff Oso and his American bulldog Mollyt.
Survivors include his soulmate and wife, Cindy; a daughter, Ashley; his parents, Don and Maurine Hilgeman; and two sisters, Donata Montgomery and Denise Baker.
Memorial Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, at St. James Catholic Church, followed by celebration of life at the Coolidge American Legion post. Wanting to help with the fight against MS, he donated his body to Research for Life.
