BULLHEAD CITY — Carlos Leroy Turner, 77, formerly of Casa Grande and Coolidge, died peacefully on Good Friday, April 2, 2021, at his home in Bullhead City.
Mr. Turner was born in Alton, Missouri, on Jan. 1, 1944, to Violet and Clyde Turner. Raised in Illinois and Coolidge, he was the oldest of 12 brothers and sisters. He enlisted in the Navy and served seven years, which included a deployment to Vietnam, and was a naval corpsman. He was proud to serve his county as well as being a life active member of the American Legion.
He spent the last 20-plus years in Bullhead City enjoying the Colorado River, fishing and entertaining himself playing bingo and enjoying the nearby casinos.
He is survived by his only daughter, Nicole Turner Ramos: six brothers, Ben, Howard, Mike, Donald, Dave and Jay Turner; three sisters, Barbara Cousins, Nancy Anthony and Judy Guenther; and four granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou, and a brother, Richard Turner.
No service. Ashes will be scattered at sea by the Navy.
