COOLIDGE — Barbara Jean Tate, 75, of Coolidge died on Oct. 19, 2019, with her family by her side.
Mrs. Tate was born to William and Beulah Blanchard on Aug. 25, 1944, in Casa Grande. She had a wonderful work ethic and worked for the Coolidge Unified School District for over 40 years. She loved to sew, go to casinos, travel, camp and fish.
She was known for her cooking and was very family oriented, loving to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Many generations called her grandma. She was a "mama bear" when it came to protecting her children.
Survivors include four sons and daughters, Freddie, Penny, Suze and Bryon; nine grandchildren; and 20-plus great-grandchildren, with another expected. Preceding her in death were her husband, Fred, and a son, Joseph.
Graveside service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, in Heritage Valley Memorial Park in Coolidge.
