MARICOPA — Tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of the Fall Fling Craft Fair, a Maricopa Community Church event that draws a crowd every year to celebrate fall with some crafts, food and fun.
On Saturday, community members, food trucks and crafters will congregate at Maricopa Community Church on 44977 W. Hathaway Ave. There is no entrance fee for patrons, but whoever brings food donations will be given tickets for door prizes. There will also be raffles and door prizes available for purchase.
According to organizer Robin Bennett, 99% of the vendors are local, and it offers the opportunity for Maricopans to take advantage of doing their holiday shopping right here in Maricopa. All 75 vendor spots are already filled and church volunteers will be available to help.
“We love giving our local small business owners a place to get the word out on their business in this organized manner,” Bennett said. “We often give the fall fling this motto: shop Black Friday early, and keep it local. People will see me in local stores and thank me for putting this on. They look forward to it every year. The whole family can come out to eat and shop in one place.”
