The following was taken from the records at the Maricopa Police Department.
On Dec. 22, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for following too closely. The driver identified himself only as Isaiah. He stated he did not have his drivers license. Police conducted a check and found his name was Isaiah Davis, and he had an outstanding warrant out of Maricopa/Stanfield court. He was arrested for the warrant and booked.
On Dec. 20, Gilbert Catha was in custody at Gila River Indian Community Detention Center. He was found to have a misdemeanor warrant out of Maricopa for possession of marijuana. He was transferred to Maricopa police and booked in Pinal County jail.
On Dec. 20, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Remijio Carrillo. Police suspected he was driving on a cancelled license. He was found to have two outstanding warrants and was arrested without incident.
On Dec. 18, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Rancho El Dorado Parkway with only one functioning headlight. The driver was identified as Ian Turner via his drivers license. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest and was arrested.
On. Dec. 19, police were dispatched to Maricopa Municipal Court after the court requested a welfare check on Tally Leto due to her having the odor of an intoxicating beverage. They were advised that she had four outstanding warrants for her arrest. Upon arrival, she was arrested for the warrants and booked per the judge and due to the totality of the circumstances.
On Dec. 16, Robert Joaquin was taken into custody at Gila River Detention Center for four warrants out of the city of Maricopa.
On Dec. 16, Police responded to a call from a police officer who said a witness had told them they saw a dog being thrown from a passing vehicle. Police identified the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the Walmart parking lot. Denise Lewis and her passenger denied throwing a dog from their vehicle. Police conducted a check and found Lewis had a warrant for shoplifting out of Maricopa and was arrested. There is no information on the status of the dog, or if it exists.
On Dec. 14, police were called after Logan Taylor pushed an individual while trying to take car keys from them at their residence on Miraflores Street. The individual was attempting to sell the vehicle and Taylor argued with them. Another individual got involved and a physical fight ensued. Taylor was placed under arrest for assault (domestic violence) and disorderly conduct (domestic violence).
On Dec. 13, Robert Drake was speeding in the area of John Wayne and Alterra parkways when police conducted a traffic stop. Police smelled an odor of marijuana from the vehicle. Drake denied having a medical marijuana card or smoking marijuana. Police conducted a search and found a firearm, three small yellow baggies with 2.8 grams of cocaine and a usable amount of marijuana. He was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale, possession of narcotics for use, possession of marijuana and possessing a deadly weapon in commission of felony.
