The following was taken from the records at the Maricopa Police Department.
On Sept. 20, police officers responded to a report of a domestic altercation on West Elizabeth Ave. Officers learned Brian Degraffenreid was involved in an altercation. He was arrested for threats – domestic violence, criminal damage – domestic violence, disorderly conduct – domestic violence and assault – domestic violence.
On Sept. 17, Maricopa police officers arrived at a residence on Woody Road in response to an alleged disturbance. The caller reported that Benjamin Jones was intoxicated and punching holes in the walls with brass knuckles. He was arrested for disorderly conduct – domestic violence and criminal damage – domestic violence.
On Sept. 13, officers responded to a call of an alleged assault on Cypress Lane. At the residence, Kevon Clark was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly grabbing and pulling the hair of the reporting party during an argument.
On Sept. 13, an officer conducted a traffic stop on State Route 347 just north of Farrell Road. Michael Mendoza Jr. was in the driver’s seat and identified by his license. The officer asked him to step out of the vehicle and questioned him about possible drug use. Mendoza allegedly admitted to using methamphetamine in the last hour after being questioned by police. A vehicle search was conducted and the officer located 2.1 grams of meth in the center console and a smoking device. Mendoza was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
