MARICOPA — A Maricopa man is facing charges after getting into a fight with a couple of family members over the smell of paint.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Joshua C. Bailey, 37, is charged with possession of dangerous drugs, two counts of domestic violence aggravated assault and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bailey was painting a bicycle in the garage of the home he lived in when a family member entered the garage to complain that the smell of the paint was wafting into the home, according to police.

Bailey allegedly started to yell at the family member, telling him he was going to beat him and to get away. He then allegedly attacked the family member, punching the family member with an open hand several times.

A second family member in the home heard the yelling and entered the laundry room next to the garage to see what was happening. Bailey allegedly pushed this person on the side of their head.

Bailey allegedly left the home before Maricopa Police officers arrived. Officers later located Bailey. As officers were taking Bailey into custody, they allegedly found three grams of methamphetamine on him.
