MARICOPA — The City of Maricopa Police Association recently announced one of its officers is in need of support from the community.
According to a letter sent out by Elliot Sneezy, president of COMPA, K-9 officer Craig Curry suffered an injury during work on July 8 that required surgery. Later, during his recovery time at home, paramedics were called due to him being unresponsive.
Curry was then transported to a hospital and is currently under heavy sedation until further tests are completed. The statement said family from out of state has joined him at the hospital.
COMPA is taking monetary donations to assist his family during this time.
The K-9 Officer Craig Curry Donation Fund has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank for those wanting to give donations to the family.
